Digi-Pak advertising analysis

This is a advert for Britney Spears' album 'Circus'. The colours use represent the colours that would be presented if you went to a live show of a circus which would make her audience feel as though her album has been done because she's putting on a show for her. The layout draws you in because of the size of the text at the top and because Britney Spears is such a famous artist so this makes it very eye catching. The advert itself looks as though the album would be a lot of fun to listen to and with the bright colours it draws in the target audience for the pop genre. But because there aren't conventional colours for a pop genre, her audience may notice that she is trying to do something different with her music. When it comes to making our Digi-Pak advertisement we will have to use eye catching colours in order to draw in our target audience. Although this poster is very eye catching it is quite boring as Britney Spears isn't featured on it so there isn't anything that will keep you focused on it.

This is a advert advertising Paramore's album 'Brand New Eyes' and also a listening party where their target audience get the chance to hear their album with other Paramore fans. The band is featured on this poster unlike the poster for Britney Spears', I think that by having the artist advertised along with their album is very eye catching as it would make their target audience feel as though Paramore really appreciate their support as they've taken a separate photo shoot in order to promote their album launch and listening party. The colours in this are pretty basic and quite dull, typical of a alternative/rock genre. The photo is quite extravagant as the band are laying in a road and their audience may notice that the band is willing to go to extreme lengths to keep them happy.

For our advertising I think that by using bright and dull colours mixed will intrigue the audience as it's eye catching yet quite mysterious. I also think that the idea of having a listening party is a good way to promote the album but instead of this it could be better to promote the album with an album signing or bonus footage.
